Do you plan to attend any pen shows?

At present, we do not plan to attend any pen shows. Participating in pen shows requires producing a large number of pieces, which is difficult for our two-person studio. Our priority is to devote our time to creating the commissions our customers have entrusted to us.

Do you sell any ready-made pens?

We occasionally offer a small number of finished pens for sale online.

I’m on your waitlist and will be traveling to Japan. Is it possible to receive my finished pen during my visit?

Yes, this is possible.
Even if your turn in the queue is still some time away, we can complete your pen to match the timing of your visit to Japan.
As the work takes about two months, please make sure to send your pen with enough time in advance.
You may also send us your pen during your stay in Japan if that is more convenient for you.

Do you accept repairs or refinishing work for lacquerware or other items?

At this time, we do not accept repairs or refinishing work for lacquerware or other craft items.
We currently accept commissions only for fountain pens and Japanese sword scabbards.

Can you apply urushi to my own pen tray or pen rest?

We’re sorry, but we do not accept custom urushi requests for pen trays or pen rests provided by customers.

Can I request a design that is not shown in the Gallery?

We’re sorry, but we only accept orders for designs listed in the Gallery. If you cannot find a design that suits your preference, please consider another Urushi lacquer studio.

Can I visit your studio?

Sorry, but due to our working environment, we are unable to accommodate studio visits.
